Kitchen Pass

The Kitchen Pass is our exclusive four seat counter directly overlooking the Kitchen.

Kitchen Pass diners purchase their seat for the evening, and while being served a multiple course menu, get a front row seat to the kitchen operations and interaction with the Chefs.  There are a total of 4 seats, but they can be purchased individually.

As a Kitchen Pass diner, you join us for an adventurous culinary ride – but this is not for the faint of heart.  Subject to any dietary restrictions, our Chefs will ‘feed you’ from an exclusively created and bold multiple-course menu.   Most of the dishes served at the Kitchen Pass are not available within the main restaurant.

Kitchen Pass dining starts at 6.30 pm in order to allow sufficient time to enjoy the multiple courses.

Dietary Restrictions:

Since it is a unique and specifically created menu, we do require 48 hours’ notice of any specific allergies or dietary restrictions.  This includes, but is not limited to, restrictions such as Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegetarian, Vegan, no shellfish or specific meat etc.   Without 48 hours’ notice, we may not be able to accommodate dietary restrictions within a Kitchen Pass menu.

Cost:

$105 per person plus taxes and gratuity (food only–beverages are additional).

We are BYOB wine and beer.

Reservations:

Can only be made via email to info@commonlot.com or via telephone at 973 467 0494 (Tuesday through Friday from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm).

We do not accept reservations for the Kitchen Pass via Open Table.

To secure a reservation for the Kitchen Pass, we require your telephone contact and credit card details.

Cancellation Fee:

As the Kitchen Pass menu is specifically tailored to each diner, if you need to cancel your reservation with less than 48 hours’ notice, we will charge a cancellation fee of $50 per seat.

Common Lot
We are starting meet the Team Thursday with Executive Chef and Owner, Ehren Ryan @ehrenryan,grew up in Australia but has also lived in India, The Philippines, Hong Kong, Canada, The Channel Islands, Austria, England and now the USA. He apprenticed under Matt Moran, one of Australia's most successful chefs before honing his skills in some highly successful, and tough, Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe. These included Pierre Gagnaire's London establishment The Lecture Room, Heston Blumenthal's Dinner by Heston, the Atlantic Hotel in Jersey, as well as the Hotel Kristiania in Lech am Arlberg Austria and as Head Chef at the Cottage Point Inn in Sydney Australia. This international experience has greatly influenced his sense of culinary adventure and style which he brings to his first restaurant, Common Lot.
